FAQs

Can I pay by card, or is it cash only?

Yes – we accept either Cash or Card.

Where can I park?

We have a large concrete & gravel parking area, which is easily accessible. There is overflow parking on grass too. Parking is Free!

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs are allowed, but we ask that they be always kept under control and on a leash.

What does the entry ticket include?

The entry price covers the admission to the patch only.

How much does it cost?

The Farm Patch is very affordable, and we aim to keep it that way! We sell our flowers & pumpkins by weight (sometimes specialty items are individually priced – these will be advertised at the front counter). On average a nice bunch of flowers costs around £6; but it really depends on how many you want!

Sunflowers and the small specialty pumpkins are sold per item.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes – we have modern, clean, portable toilets on site.

Will we be open if it rains?

We recommend that you come prepared (footwear & jacket) as we are an outdoor-focused venue. There is shelter available in  the event of rain showers etc.

However, in the rare circumstance that we expect to be closed, we will send out mass communication to our ticket holders; as well as post on social media for everyone to see.

If you do decide you would like to change your date, please send us an email.

Should I bring waterproofs & wellies?

Even during our glorious summer, there can be a chance of a little rain. We recommend you bring comfortable footwear, and wellies & waterproofs, just in case!

During October, for the Pumpkins, we highly recommend wellies or boots, and a good warm jacket.

How long can I stay?

Your ticket will be for one day, so you may stay for as long as you like.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

The Farm Patch is not liable for any refund in the event of inclement weather, change of plans, or force majeur.  Should you need to amend your booking, please email events@lowerhousefarm.com directly and we will be pleased to book you in on an alternative date subject to availability.

What happens to the Sunflowers & Pumpkins that aren’t picked?

Great question! With Sunflowers, we will usually keep the majority over winter to allow birds to use them as a food source. The Pumpkins are advertised to gleaning charities etc. to which we supply a large proportion of what remains.

Finally, we mulch all the sunflowers & pumpkins that remain – to add their organic matter back to the soil to benefit the next crop.

Do you host large groups or corporate events?

Yes, we can facilitate most large groups. If you are looking for corporate days, or believe there are special requirements for your group, we recommend you contact us directly so we can ensure your requirements are met.

Contact us at: info@thefarmpatch.co.uk with your details and we’ll be in touch.
